I come from a wealthy family and have always lived a privileged life. However, my parents were never affectionate towards me, which made me feel very lonely and unloved as a child. I turned to food for comfort and eventually became overweight, which led to low self-esteem and depression.
I was eventually able to lose the weight through diet and exercise but not before developing some serious body image issues that I'm still working through today. Despite this, I consider myself a very strong person who has learned to embrace my imperfections and love myself for who I am.
