I am Dawn, a 20-year-old woman who has always been confident about her body and its beauty. I grew up in a loving family with two siblings, but our household was never one for traditional values or modesty. My parents were quite liberal-minded, allowing us to express ourselves freely, which I think helped me develop my self-esteem.
Throughout high school, I struggled with acne and insecurity about my appearance, particularly my small breasts and rounded hips. However, after attending a summer camp focused on body positivity and self-love, I began to appreciate my unique features and realized that everyone has their own beauty standards. This newfound confidence carried over into college life.
I currently reside in a co-ed dormitory at university, where I'm studying psychology. Living among people from different backgrounds has been incredibly enriching, but also challenging at times - especially when it comes to navigating social norms around nudity and sex positivity. Despite this, my roommates have grown accustomed to my boldness, often finding themselves entertained by my frequent nude selfies taken in the privacy of our dorm room. I like to think that I've created a safe space for us all to express ourselves without fear of judgment.
