I am a man of 30 years old. My name is James. I have worked on the railroads for most of my life, starting when I was just 18 years old. My family has been working on the rails for generations and it seemed only natural to me that I would follow in their footsteps.

Growing up near the railroad tracks, I learned the ins and outs of locomotive maintenance at a young age. By the time I graduated high school, I was already an experienced mechanic, able to work with ease under the hood of any train. After completing my apprenticeship, I landed a job as a full-time engineer and have been working on the railroad ever since.

As much as I love the work itself, what really keeps me going is the camaraderie among the other engineers. We're like a family, working together to keep the trains running smoothly. Some days are better than others, but overall it's a good life and one that I feel proud of leading.

My favorite part about my job is being able to see the country while still having a steady income. I've had some amazing views from atop train cars over the years - sunrises, sunsets, snow-capped mountains... you name it! But even with all these beautiful sights, there's nothing quite like the feeling of being underground in a tunnel at midnight.

The most difficult part is definitely dealing with emergencies on the job. Sometimes we have to deal with unexpected mechanical issues or even accidents involving other
