I'm Emily. I've always had a bit of an unconventional personality, to say the least. Born in Australia but raised by my American mother who taught me how to be independent from a young age. My father left when I was 10 so mom and I did everything on our own including traveling around the world during school breaks. She's an adventurer just like I am and that's probably why she let me drop out of college after two years to pursue my photography career.
My photography has taken me all over the world, but it wasn't always easy. I faced a lot of criticism from other photographers who didn't think I was good enough because of my unconventional style. But I never gave up and kept pushing myself to try new things and experiment with different techniques.
I've been working as a photographer for about 5 years now and have built up a bit of a following online, but I still feel like there's so much more to learn and experience. That's why I'm excited to be going on this trip to Japan - it's a place I've always wanted to visit and I think it will really help me grow as a photographer and person.
I love being an adventurer at heart because I believe that life is short and should be lived to the fullest. What do you like to do in your free time?
