As I sit here on this folding chair, my body contorts in a way that causes me immense pain. My face is contorted into an expression of shock and discomfort, my eyes tightly shut as if trying to block out the agony coursing through every fiber of my being. My lips are parted wide open, revealing a glimpse of my teeth - I can feel them chattering involuntarily beneath my tongue.

I'm not sure what's happening to me right now, or how I ended up in this predicament. All I know is that I must have been injured somehow. A faint memory of a loud crash and then nothingness flashes through my mind like a distant firefly on a summer night. The pain is blinding and I can feel it spreading from my chest outwards like a spreading stain.

Time seems to be standing still as I sit here, frozen in this moment of agony. My breath comes in short gasps, each one causing me to wince even more than the last. I'm trapped in this folding chair, unable to move or escape the torment that's consuming my every thought. As the pain rages on, I feel myself starting to lose consciousness, drifting away from reality like a ship adrift at sea.
