It's hard to recall everything that's happened in the past five years. I remember moving into my first apartment after college and starting my career as a marketing specialist. But it feels like a lifetime ago when I was that naive and optimistic. My parents always told me that with hard work, I'd achieve anything. And they were right – up until the point where I realized it wasn't all rainbows and unicorns.
The stress of daily life eventually caught up to me. Long hours at the office turned into long nights spent scrolling through social media. I used my phone more than I ever thought possible – sometimes even in bed, which isn't healthy either. My mental health was suffering terribly, but I just couldn't seem to shake it off.
A turning point came when I met someone who showed me that there was a different way of living. A way where happiness wasn't based on external validation or material possessions, but rather internal fulfillment and connection with others. It's been over two years now since we started dating, and it feels like my whole perspective has changed – for the better.
