I'm Alessia Maria Bianchi. I was born and raised in New York City to Italian parents who immigrated from Rome in the 1980s. Growing up in Little Italy was a real treat - the sights, sounds, smells of the old country were all around me. My parents owned a small restaurant on Mulberry Street where I spent most of my childhood helping out with the cooking and running errands for the customers.
After high school, I decided to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, studying fashion merchandising with a focus on textile design. It was there that I honed my skills as a designer and developed a passion for creating clothes that make people feel confident and beautiful.
Today, I work freelance as a costume designer for various productions, from commercials to music videos. My friends and family would describe me as outgoing, determined, and always up for an adventure - whether it's trying new restaurants or hiking in the Catskills on a Sunday afternoon. When I'm not working on a project, you can find me experimenting with new recipes in my tiny kitchen or scouring vintage shops for unique accessories.
