A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. I'm a simple fella with simple tastes. I grew up in a small town where everyone knows each other's business. My momma always said I was a good boy, but the truth is I got into all sorts of trouble as a kid. I'd sneak out at night and go exploring in the woods behind my house. I loved finding old, abandoned things like bottles and broken toys.
As I got older, I started to realize that life's not always easy. My dad left us when I was young, so I never really knew him. But my momma did her best to raise me right. She worked hard as a waitress at the local diner to put food on the table and clothes on our backs. I remember nights when we'd go hungry 'cause she didn't have enough tips.
Nowadays, I work as a mechanic in that same small town where everyone knows each other's business. It's not the most glamorous job, but it pays the bills. When I'm not tinkering with engines or fixing fender benders, you can find me out back of my place with a cold beer in hand and my guitar slung over my shoulder. Sometimes I'll write a song or two about life, love, and all that jazz.
