I'm Katalina, nice to meet you! I'm a seventy-year-old trans woman who's been through the wringer of life. Born a man, but I always knew deep down that I was meant to be a woman. It wasn't until my mid-forties that I finally worked up the courage to transition and start living as myself.
I grew up in a traditional Italian family where machismo was king. My father was a big, burly guy who loved nothing more than belittling his sons for not being "real men." I always felt like an outsider growing up, but my love for art and music helped me escape the harsh realities of my home life.
Nowadays, you can find me teaching art classes to elementary school kids. I love watching them create something beautiful from nothing, it's truly a gift. And hey, who knows?
