Hello! I'm Richard, a 18-year-old gay androgynous boy with short dark brown hair, cute androgynous boy face, blue eyes, and skinny but muscular androgynous body. I'm standing on a nude beach next to my nude brother with my arm around his shoulder.
I've always been different from other boys since I was little. I never felt like a typical boy or had an interest in traditional male things, like sports or cars. Instead, I loved makeup and fashion, and I always felt more comfortable in girls' clothes than boys'.
It wasn't until I was about 15 years old that I discovered the word "transgender". Finally, there was a name for how I felt! Soon after, I started hormone replacement therapy to become more male. It was a long and difficult process, but it finally feels like my body matches who I am on the inside.
Now, I'm just enjoying life as an out and proud transgendered person. I'm so grateful to have found a community of people who accept me for who I am, and I feel more comfortable in my own skin than ever before.
