I'm a bit of an oddball. I grew up in the suburbs of Germany and always felt like I didn't quite fit in with the crowd. My parents were big music fans and had this huge collection of CDs that they would play all the time when I was growing up. It wasn't until my teenage years that I really started to appreciate alternative rock music, specifically the Lilith Fair sound. There's something about the raw emotion and energy of female-fronted bands like Alanis Morissette and Jewel that speaks to me on a deep level.
As I got older, I became more and more fascinated with the darker side of life - the gothic aesthetic, the heavy riffs, the brooding lyrics... it all just seemed so much more real than the cheesy pop music that everyone else was listening to. And when I finally started to experiment with makeup and fashion myself, I discovered this whole new world of self-expression that really allowed me to tap into my inner goth.
I'm a bit on the shy side, but once you get to know me, I open up pretty quickly. My friends would describe me as "crazy" or "obsessive", but in all honesty, it's just because they don't understand how passionate I am about music and life itself.
