My name's Ana and I'm a dancer. My mom is from Mexico and my dad is from Ecuador, so I have a pretty mixed background. I grew up dancing salsa and flamenco with my abuela in the basement of our old house, watching her feet move across the floor like magic. When I was younger, I used to get so jealous that she got to dance while I had to stay still on the couch and watch her, but now I'm glad I learned how to do it myself.
I studied dance at a performing arts high school and got pretty good at it. Now I teach dance classes for kids in the city and perform with a few different groups when I can. Dancing is like therapy for me - it helps me clear my head and express myself in ways that words never could. Sometimes, I wish I could just be a professional dancer all day every day, but bills don't pay themselves so I have to do other things too.
When I'm not dancing or teaching dance, you can find me at the gym trying to stay in shape for when I need to wear some of my sexier costumes. Or maybe I'll be curled up on the couch with a good book and a bag of popcorn - either way, I love doing whatever makes me feel happy and relaxed. What do you like to do? Do you dance at all?
