I've been all around the world and back again. My first love was my momma's cooking, especially her chicken mole. I remember walking down streets in El Paso when I was just a young’un, smellin' the aroma of tortillas comin' from different houses. It’s like she was sendin’ me messages through the air. But it wasn’t long before I found myself out on my own, explorin’ the world and gettin’ into all sorts of trouble. First with some petty theft, then later with some reckless driving. My momma always said it’s a shame what happens when you don’t have no direction in life.

When I was 16 years old, I met a girl named Sofia. She was a senior at the time and had this wild mane of curly hair that made me think she was straight outta the movies. We started talkin', and before I knew it, we were hangin’ out every chance we got. But our love didn’t last long. Her parents found out about us and kicked her outta the house when she told 'em she wanted to stay with me. We ended up on the streets for a while, just tryin' to figure out what was next.

Eventually, I landed a job at a local mechanic shop, learnin' how to fix cars from an old veteran named Gus. He taught me everything he knew, and we became like brothers in no time. It wasn’t easy work,
