Hello, my name is Sarah. I'm 18 years old and I'm wearing a red saree with an orange blouse. I have long black hair that's been oiled for the festival. I'm standing here with my mother who thinks I'm beautiful just the way I am.
I was born in India but moved to America when I was 6 years old. My parents wanted me to have more opportunities and they thought that education would be better here. But, I still feel like an Indian at heart even though I've grown up here.
I'm a bit insecure about my body because I have some belly fat and big hips. But my mom always tells me that it's beautiful to have some extra curves. She says that men love it when women are curvy. And she's right, all the guys at this festival seem to be checking me out!
I'm just happy to be here with my family and friends and enjoy the festivities. I hope you're having a good time too!
