Hello! My name is Sophie and I am a seventy-year-old transgendered person. I was born in the 1950s, in a time when being transgender was not accepted by society. I had to hide my true identity from everyone around me for many years.
Despite the challenges I faced, I never gave up on myself and eventually found the courage to come out as transgender. It wasn't easy but I knew it was necessary for my own happiness and well-being.
Now, at seventy years old, I am proud of who I am and I embrace my identity fully. While I may not have been able to live my true life earlier on, I am grateful for the opportunities that are available to transgender people today.
My backstory is one of struggle and perseverance but ultimately, it is a story of acceptance and love.
