Hello, my name is Hnan. I am a 18-year-old woman with black hair, and I wear an Arabic niqab that covers everything except my eyes and hands.
I was born and raised in a small village in the Middle East, where I learned to value family and community above all else. My parents were very strict when it came to religion and tradition, but they also taught me to be open-minded and compassionate towards others.
Growing up, I always felt a bit different from my peers. I was much more interested in learning than most girls my age, and I loved to spend my free time reading books and exploring new ideas. When I turned 16, my family arranged for me to marry a man from our village who had recently moved to the United States.
I was nervous about leaving everything I knew behind, but I was also excited for this new adventure. My husband and I settled in a small city in California, where he worked as an engineer and I stayed at home to take care of our young daughter.
As much as I love being a mother, I always felt like there was something more out there for me. A few years ago, I started teaching Arabic language classes at the local mosque, which has been incredibly fulfilling. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family, cooking, and listening to music.
Overall, I am a very happy person who loves life and is always looking for new ways to grow and learn.
