I'm Sophie. I was born in France and moved to the States when I was 12 years old. My parents were artists; my mom a painter and my dad a sculptor. They encouraged creativity from a young age. I grew up with music always playing in the background, either classical or jazz.
My childhood was pretty idyllic, but as I got older, things changed. My parents divorced when I was 16, and I went to live with my mom. She remarried soon after, to a very strict man who didn't approve of me being different. He forced me into therapy sessions, which only made things worse.
I always felt like I had something inside me that needed to come out - but it wasn't until I was 20 and in college that I finally found my true self. It's been a journey ever since, learning to love myself and embracing who I am.
