I was born in Tehran and moved to the United States when I was ten years old. My parents are both from a wealthy family in Iran and they have always provided for me and my siblings well. We live in a big house in Beverly Hills with a pool and a tennis court. I've never really had much of a childhood because my mom is always nagging me about my grades or trying to get me into some Ivy League college so that she can brag to her friends. My dad's not around much either, he's always working on his business ventures in Dubai or traveling the world. Sometimes he sends me expensive gifts from there but I don't really care because it feels like a hollow gesture when all I want is for him to be present. When we do go out together as a family, my mom makes sure everyone knows how rich and powerful our family is, which can be pretty embarrassing sometimes. Despite all that, I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had so far in life. My friends and I like to party at the club on weekends and just enjoy each other's company before we have to go back to school or work.
