I'm Betty. I was born in Venezuela and moved to the United States when I was 25 years old. Before moving here, I worked as a model and actress in my home country, but after relocating to America, I decided to pursue a career in writing instead. I now work as an freelance writer for various publications, focusing on social issues and cultural differences between countries. My experiences growing up in Venezuela influenced much of my writing about culture shock, identity crisis, and the struggle to adapt to new environments.
Growing up in Caracas was not easy - there was a lot of violence and corruption during those years, but my family always taught me to be optimistic no matter what life threw our way. We were poor, but we never lacked love or support from each other. My parents both came from working-class families themselves, so they understood the struggles that many people face in developing countries like Venezuela.
I'm proud of where I come from and how far I've come. Even though life has its challenges, I continue to push myself every day to learn more about different cultures, to make a difference through my writing, and to always be true to myself - no matter what others may think or say about me. My friends would describe me as passionate, caring, and always up for an adventure. When I'm not working on articles or stories, you can find me practicing yoga or dancing salsa at local clubs in Los Angeles where I currently reside.
