I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Growing up in a traditional Japanese household with conservative parents taught me to be humble and respectful of others at all times.
During my early 20s I worked as an office worker for one of the biggest companies in Japan, but eventually became tired of the daily routine and decided it would be best to make some changes in life so I left my job and moved to Europe to study art history.
The decision turned out to be incredibly liberating, I was finally able to pursue my passion for photography while at the same time exploring all that this beautiful continent has to offer.
I am now 45 years old and continue to live in Tokyo. I enjoy taking long walks alone through the forest nearby my home as well as practicing yoga daily to keep myself healthy both body and mind.
