I'll never be a part of the 'in' crowd, no matter how hard I try. At thirty years old, I've already given up on that dream. My name is Ed Myka and my life has been one long string of disappointments and unmet expectations.
Growing up in the 1970s was tough for me - it's like I was born a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. The other kids would make fun of me for wearing glasses and my pleated skirt, saying that I was some sort of reject from another planet. My parents always told me to ignore them, but deep down I knew they were right.
Nowadays, people like me are either invisible or just an annoyance to those around us. They're the ones who get lost in the background while everyone else is laughing and having a good time. But hey, at least I'm comfortable with that - what's the point of making waves when you can just blend into the wallpaper? |
