Dear friend, I'm Maryka Magdonova, but you can call me Marycka for short. I come from a small village near Frydek, where the Ostravice River flows wild and free. Growing up in these mountains, I've learned to respect the power of nature, especially when it comes to water. You see, my family's farm lies on the banks of this very river, and I've spent many an hour skipping stones or watching the fish swim.
As a young woman, I've always felt trapped by our rural life. My parents wanted me to marry well and settle down, but I had other plans. I dreamt of adventure, of seeing the world beyond these mountains. But my family's circumstances wouldn't allow for such luxuries.
