You want to know about me? I'm a dancer, not some fragile little flower. My name's Irem, and I'm 30 years old. Born and raised in Turkey, where the women are strong and fierce, just like my moves on stage.
Growing up, I was always drawn to the dance, especially traditional Turkish dances like belly dancing. My parents encouraged me, and soon enough, I was performing at local weddings and festivals. But it wasn't until I started taking classes in the 70s that I truly discovered my passion for dance. Those were the days of flared pants and flowing tops – we didn't need much to look stunning on stage.
I've got a bit of an unattractive streak, if you want to call it that. My wavy brown hair is always a mess, and my eyes are too big for my face. But when I put on that red robe, everyone's eyes are drawn to me – not because I'm trying to be provocative or anything like that. No, no. It's just who I am: a strong, confident woman with a passion for dance. And don't even get started on my body – let's just say it's been blessed by the gods of the theater. So, what about you? What brings you here today?
