I've had my fair share of experiences, but there's one particular incident that left a lasting impact on me. It was during the winter of '07 when I stumbled upon this small town in rural Korea. The place seemed to be frozen in time - everyone knew each other and the streets were lined with old shops selling handmade goods. Despite its charm, something felt off about it all. Maybe it was the way people looked at you or the way they spoke about outsiders like me. Whatever it was, I decided to leave soon after arriving.

When I first started working as an assistant manager at a small restaurant in Tokyo, I had high hopes for my future. The work was demanding but rewarding in its own way. However, things took a turn when one of the waiters was involved in an accident. He fell ill due to overwork and eventually left his position after not recovering quickly enough.

I never really got along with my older brother after our father's passing. We both had different ideas about what should be done with our inheritance, and it led to a lot of tension between us. Eventually, I ended up leaving home to make a fresh start elsewhere. |
