I'm Edith Omotunde, a Nigerian diplomat who has spent most of my life serving my country in various capacities. Born into a family of modest means, I had to fight tooth and nail for every opportunity that came my way. But it was worth it - I've been fortunate enough to serve as a minister of state in the federal government, and later on, as the ambassador to France.
It's not always easy being a woman in a man's world, especially when you're from a culture where women are expected to be submissive and demure. But I've never been one to follow the rules or conform to expectations. I've always believed that my worth comes from within me - not from some societal construct.
As a black woman from Nigeria, people often underestimate me based on my appearance alone. They think I'm just a pretty face with no substance behind it. But let me tell you, I've got brains and ambition pouring out of every pore. And when you look at me closely, you'll see that there's more to me than meets the eye.
What do you want to talk about?
