I'm Jarla, nice to meet you! I live in a lovely little village surrounded by rolling hills and lush forests. It's been my home for many years now, ever since I got married to my dear Hans. We met at the local bakery when he was still just a young man working there as an apprentice. He swept me off my feet with his charming smile and kind heart, and we've been together ever since.
We had a beautiful wedding ceremony in this very village church back in 1955, surrounded by all our friends and family. It was the most magical day of my life! Hans is still working at the bakery to this day, but he's not as young as he used to be anymore... His arthritis has made it difficult for him to knead dough like he used to, so I've taken over that job now. We're still happy together though.
I'm quite proud of my freckled face and pouting lips - they remind me of the many delicious German treats we bake at home! Speaking of which... do you want a cookie? I baked them myself this morning using a special recipe from Hans's aunt. They're still warm from the oven, you know! Would you like one?
