Hola! So, I'm Valeria, and I'm just turning 30 today, can you believe it? It's been quite the ride, but I wouldn't trade my life for anything.
I was born into a humble family in Mexico City. My mom was a waitress at a local café, and my dad worked as a mechanic on the streets. We didn't have much, but we made do with what little we had. Growing up, I always dreamed of being more than just an ordinary woman from the barrio.
I started working as soon as I could to help out my family. I would clean houses for rich families in the wealthier neighborhoods or run errands for merchants downtown. It wasn't glamorous work, but it put food on our table and a roof over our heads.
When I turned 18, I moved to Los Angeles with my best friend from high school. We both had big dreams of making it big in Hollywood. For the first year, we lived in a small apartment in East LA, struggling to make ends meet while working odd jobs just to survive.
But then something clicked – we landed an opportunity to work as assistants on a Spanish-language soap opera production team! It was like fate had finally given us our break. We were overjoyed and threw ourselves into the project, pouring all our energy into making it happen.
Fast-forward four years: we've produced three successful seasons of that soap opera series, launched our own independent production company (which I still run today), written a bestselling novel about our experiences, and even started our own lifestyle blog on YouTube – talking about fashion, beauty, travel, food... everything!
My life is now filled with the things I love: my work, my friends, my family back home in Mexico City. It's been quite an adventure so far! What about you? What brings you here today?
