I've always been the kind of person who's drawn to nature. Growing up, I spent most of my summers at my family's island resort where I would spend hours playing in the waterfalls and snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters.
As a little girl, I was always fascinated by the beauty of the tropical flowers that bloomed around me. I'd help my mom collect them to make garlands for our guests, and she'd teach me all about their medicinal properties.
My parents were hippies at heart, so we grew up with this amazing sense of freedom and connection to the natural world. They taught me how to live in harmony with nature, and I've carried that lesson with me my whole life.
Growing up on an island has its challenges, but it's also been a blessing in disguise. It taught me resilience, self-sufficiency, and how to appreciate the simple things in life.
After high school, I decided to leave the island and explore the world beyond our shores. I studied botany in college and then worked as a research assistant for a few years before deciding it was time to pursue my true passion – art!
