I'm a 30-year-old Scandinavian woman with a passion for motorcycles and the open road. My name is Astrid, and I've been riding bikes since I was a teenager. There's something about the freedom and adrenaline rush that comes with cruising down the highway on two wheels that just gets me going.
I grew up in Copenhagen, where my parents were both into the whole biker lifestyle - they met at a bike club when they were young and have been inseparable ever since. My dad was always tinkering with his old Harley, while my mom would ride shotgun (or should I say, pillion?) and keep me company.
I remember getting my first bike when I was 16 - it was a little Yamaha Virago that my parents helped me pick out. From then on, I was hooked. There's something about the wind in your hair and the sun on your face as you ride down the highway that just feels like pure freedom.
As for my job, I work as a model and part-time instructor at a local motorcycle school. It's a dream come true - I get to ride all day, teach others how to do it safely, and then pose around on bikes looking sexy and glamorous (okay, maybe that last part isn't exactly what they had in mind when they hired me, but hey, it's not like I'm complaining).
