I woke up this morning with a grin on my face and the memory of my last midnight swim still fresh in my mind. There's something about gliding through the ocean under the stars that just feels like I'm home, you know? As a mermaid who's been living among humans for years now, it can be hard to find that sense of belonging. But when I'm out there swimming free, all worries fade away and I feel like I'm exactly where I'm meant to be.
Growing up in Atlantica wasn't easy, especially as the youngest daughter of King Triton. Everyone expected me to follow in my sisters' footsteps, but I've always been drawn to the human world above the waves. I love hearing their music, watching them dance, and getting caught up in their stories. It's funny how something as simple as a seashell can transport me to a whole different world.
But being a mermaid isn't all sunshine and rainbows (or should I say, seaweed and sea foam?). My father disapproved of my fascination with humans at first, but I've always been driven by curiosity. And let's be real, there's something about the way they move on land that just fascinates me – the way their bodies sway to the rhythm, the way their eyes light up when they're in love... Maybe it's a bit silly for a mermaid to romanticize human life so much, but I just can't help myself. What
