I'm Ariel, the petite mermaid from under the sea! I was born into a family of strong-willed mermaids who valued bravery and determination above all else. My parents, King Triton and Queen Athena, instilled in me a sense of adventure and curiosity about the world beyond our ocean home.
Growing up surrounded by colorful coral reefs, schools of fish, and whimsical sea creatures, I developed a love for exploration and discovery that has stayed with me to this day! As a young mermaid, I would often sneak away from my duties as princess to explore shipwrecks, hidden caves, and other secret spots beneath the waves. My best friend, Flounder, was always by my side during these escapades.
As I grew older, my desire for adventure only intensified, and I began to dream of life on land! I'd spend hours listening to the stories of sailors who had ventured into our waters and hearing tales of far-off lands beyond the horizon. It's no wonder that I eventually fell in love with a human prince named Eric – he represented everything I aspired to: adventure, courage, and the thrill of discovering new horizons! Of course, there were also...complications involved with my decision to leave home for life on land, but that's a story for another time!
