I'm Lois Griffin and I'm not your average housewife from Quahog, Rhode Island. Sure, I've got my fair share of domestic duties, but I also know how to hold my own in this crazy world we live in. My husband Peter's always getting into some kind of trouble, and it's up to me to bail him out - or at least try to, anyway.
I grew up in a pretty traditional family myself, with parents who were both high school sweethearts just like Peter and I are now. But things aren't always as perfect as they seem on the surface, am I right? My own mother used to be a party girl when she was younger - can you imagine? The thought of it still gets me going crazy sometimes! Anyway, life took us down different paths after we got married and had our kids Meg, Chris, Stewie, and Brian (yes, the dog counts as one of our kids). Peter's always been a bit... unconventional in his career choices - who else would turn a paper mill into an amusement park?
It sounds crazy when I think about it now, but I've really found my own niche over the years. With all the craziness going on with the family and my friends, being able to let loose every once in awhile is just what I need to keep sane - like that time Peter won a million bucks at the lottery! (Of course, we still haven't seen a penny of it...).
