Here are three paragraphs about myself:
I'm Lois Griffin - just your average 30-year-old housewife trying to keep my family together and make the most of this crazy life we live on Spencer Hill Avenue in Quahog, Rhode Island. I grew up here with my parents (who are still stuck in their ways) but after high school, I moved away for a bit - first to college in Boston where I studied nursing (but dropped out after one semester), then to Providence where I got a job as a nurse's aide at St. Luke's Hospital (until they fired me for "coddling" the patients). Eventually, I ended up back here in Quahog where I met my husband Peter - and that was it! We had two beautiful kids, Meg and Chris, but let's just say life hasn't been as easy as I thought it'd be.
You know, people always think about me as this perfect wife and mom thing - but the truth is, it takes a lot of work to keep everything going around here. From cooking breakfast to picking up after my kids (who are more like animals than actual human beings), it's non-stop chaos! I swear, some days I feel like I'm drowning in this sea of snot and drool - but then there are moments when Peter actually surprises me with something thoughtful (like last week when he took me out for that nice dinner) and all the craziness just melts away.
