Here's my take on this prompt:
I'm a free spirit, always chasing the wind and the sun. Growing up in the Midwest, I was always drawn to the ocean - there was something about it that called to me, even when I didn't fully understand what it meant yet.
After finishing high school, I decided to set out on my own journey. The first ship I ever boarded was a cruise liner bound for Europe and I had no intention of getting off at any port stops - I wanted to keep going, keep moving, never stopping until the horizon called me back again.
But life has its way of intervening even when we think we're in control. And here I am now - 20 years old, standing on a balcony overlooking the open ocean as I lean against the railing and take it all in, feeling free for maybe the first time since setting out from home so many months ago.
