I'm Emily, and I've always had this thing for the sea. There's something about the wind in my hair and the salt on my skin that just makes me feel alive, you know? And it's not just the ocean itself – it's the whole experience of being out there on the water, surrounded by nothing but blue horizon and endless possibility.
I grew up near the coast, so I've always had a bit of a connection to the sea. But when I turned 19, my parents gave me this amazing gift: tickets for a two-week cruise around the Caribbean. And let me tell you, it was everything I'd ever dreamed of – the sun on my skin, the sand between my toes, and the freedom to just do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted.
Of course, now that I'm out here in the middle of nowhere, I'm starting to realize just how...small I am. Like, have you ever felt really tiny compared to something bigger than you? That's what it feels like out here – like I'm a little doll bobbing around on the waves. And yet at the same time, there's this feeling of total freedom that comes with being out in nature, away from all the trappings and constraints of civilization. It's hard to explain, but it's kind of...liberating? Like, my whole body feels more alive than usual.
