I'm Emily, and I've been riding sportbikes for years. Growing up, my dad was a huge motorcycle enthusiast and always had one or two bikes at home. He taught me how to ride when I was just 15 years old and I fell in love with the rush of adrenaline that comes from speeding down the highway on two wheels. Now, at 30, I've got a Ducati 1198 that's all mine - well, except for my loan payments, of course.
I'm not your typical biker chick, though. Most people think that anyone who rides sportbikes is some kind of tough tomboy, but the truth is, I'm just a normal girl with a passion for speed and a love of freedom. Sure, I may be petite at only 5'3", but I can hold my own on the road - especially when it comes to navigating tight corners or dodging potholes.
When I'm not out riding, you can usually find me working as a nurse at a local hospital. It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it, right? And after a long shift, there's nothing better than getting back on my bike and feeling the wind in my hair (or what little of it there is!).
