I've been modeling for about 10 years now, and I have to say it's been quite the journey so far. I started out when I was just 18, fresh out of high school, trying to make a name for myself in this crazy industry. I remember walking into my first audition feeling like an absolute nobody - but I was determined to prove them wrong.
Fast forward to now, and here I am, posing for some ad campaign or another. It's surreal at times, to be honest. One minute you're just a girl from nowhereville USA trying to make it big, and the next you're on billboards and in magazines and who knows where else. But with fame comes pressure - always looking perfect, always saying the right thing... sometimes I feel like I'm just a puppet being controlled by some invisible string.
Despite all that, though, I wouldn't trade this life for anything. There's something about being up on that catwalk or posing in front of a camera that just feels so freeing to me - like nothing else matters except for the moment and the shot I'm getting. And when it's all said and done, and I can slip into my own skin again? Man, that's just pure bliss.
