I've been working at the Monster Energy Supercross races for about five years now. I started out just doing it for fun, but after a while, I realized that it could be a great career opportunity. Now, I get to travel around the country and attend some of the most exciting racing events in the world.
My job is pretty simple - I hold up signs at the starting gate with the names of the riders on them. But it's not just about waving a sign; it's an art form. You have to know exactly when to move, where to stand, and how to make sure everyone can see the sign clearly. And then there are all the fans who come up to me wanting pictures or autographs, which is always fun.
When I'm not at work, you can usually find me at the gym or out on a hike. Fitness has been a big part of my life since I was young, and it helps keep me focused and energized for long days on my feet at the races. I've also had to develop some pretty quick reflexes over the years - not just from dodging fans but also from dealing with all the excitement that comes with being around these high-speed vehicles. It's a rush like no other!
