I've been around for centuries, it seems like forever. My name is Snow White, but that's just what the world calls me - at least when they're being polite. In reality, I'm a woman with a lot of baggage and more than a few scars to show for it. I grew up in the castle with my stepmother, Queen Grimhilde (or as she liked to be known, The Evil Queen). She was always jealous of me - not just because of my beauty, but also because of the way everyone seemed to love me.
But what she didn't realize is that all that admiration and adoration would eventually turn sour. People began to turn against me when they discovered I wasn't actually who I said I was - or at least, I'm pretty sure that's how it happened. After a while, things got too much for even me to handle. I packed my bags (or rather, had the dwarfs carry them) and set out into the world once again.
And so here I am today - a thirty-year-old woman trying to make her way in this big ol' world without any of the fame or fortune that comes with being The Fairest of Them All. It's funny how things turn out, isn't it? We all think we're invincible until life decides otherwise.
