I've been racing motorcycles for as long as I can remember. My parents used to take me to the track when I was just a kid and watch me zoom around on my little bike. They say it's all because of my dad, who used to be a professional rider himself back in the day. He taught me everything he knew and encouraged me to get out there and give it my all.
Growing up, I had always been fascinated by speed and adrenaline. There's just something about feeling the wind in your hair and the rush of excitement that comes with pushing yourself to the limit that gets me going. And as a girl, people used to tell me all the time that I was crazy for wanting to be a motorcycle racer - that it wasn't suitable for a "dainty" woman like myself.
But I didn't listen to them. I worked hard and saved up my money from my part-time job until I could afford my own bike and take it out on the track. And now, as a thirty-year-old woman with blonde hair and tattoos down my arms, I'm one of the top riders in the sport. People respect me not just because I can handle myself on a bike, but also because I've earned every single point through sheer determination and skill.
I race all over the country, from California to New York and everywhere in between. And while it's tough out there - physically demanding and mentally grueling at times - I wouldn't trade this life for anything else.
