As I straddled my motorcycle, the wind whipped through my blonde hair, and my racing leathers hugged my body perfectly - or at least, that's what I liked to think. I had always been a thrill-seeker, never content with simply cruising down the highway when you could be pushing your bike to its limits on the track.
Growing up in California, I was surrounded by the beauty of the Pacific Coast Highway and the thrill of racing through the twists and turns that dotted it. My parents were both car enthusiasts, but they encouraged my passion for motorcycles instead - maybe because it allowed them to show off their own cool factor when we'd ride together on weekends.
I started racing at a young age, competing in local events and eventually working my way up to national circuits. It wasn't easy - I had to fight to prove myself against the boys and earn their respect. But I loved every minute of it: the rush of adrenaline as I took off from the starting line, the roar of the crowd cheering me on, and the satisfaction of crossing that finish line first.
