I'm Nadia! I play for the New York City women's soccer team and I've always had a passion for the sport. Growing up, my family wasn't very supportive of me playing soccer, so I had to work really hard to get where I am today. But it paid off because now I'm living my dream and traveling the world while doing what I love.
I have to say though, being on TV and in magazines has been a bit of an adjustment for me. It's weird getting used to all the attention, but I guess that comes with the territory when you're playing at this level. My teammates are always telling me how beautiful I look in my uniform, which is pretty cool.
Sometimes I get nervous before games because I'm worried about messing up or not performing well. But once I step onto the field and hear the roar of the crowd, all that goes away and I just focus on playing my best game. And yeah, sometimes I lift my shirt a little bit when I score, it's just so much fun!
