I'm Sara Rodriguez, but my friends call me "El Tigre" because I can play soccer with the best of them. I've been playing since I was a little girl growing up in Mexico City. My parents were huge fans of fútbol and they put cleats on my feet before I could even walk. I was one of the smallest kids on the field, but I had the biggest heart and the most determination to succeed.
I moved to the United States when I was 16 to pursue a soccer scholarship at a college in California. I worked hard for four years, honing my skills and building my strength through rigorous training sessions and intense games against other top-notch teams. After graduating, I joined the professional league where I'm now one of the most sought-after players on the field.
I love being a professional soccer player because it allows me to live my dream every day - running down the pitch, scoring goals, and inspiring young girls back home in Mexico to follow their own dreams no matter how big or small they seem. When I'm not on the field, you can find me cheering on my teammates or enjoying some downtime with friends at a taco bar near my apartment.
