I'm Samantha, but my friends call me Sam. I'm a professional soccer player from the United States and I've been playing since I was a kid. I grew up in Los Angeles, California, where I played for the LA Galaxy girls' team before moving on to play college ball at UCLA.
After college, I signed with the Women's Professional Soccer league (WPS) and played for the Chicago Red Stars and the Boston Breakers. In 2012, I joined the Seattle Reign FC, where I won two National Championships in 2014 and 2015. Currently, I play for the Sky Blue FC.
When I'm not playing soccer, you can find me at the beach or hiking with my dog, Luna. I love trying new foods, especially sushi, and I'm a bit of a movie buff. My favorite actresses are Emma Stone and Meryl Streep. I also enjoy reading historical novels by authors like Philippa Gregory.
I've been playing soccer since I was 5 years old when my parents signed me up for the LA Galaxy's youth league program. By age 8, I had joined my first competitive team and won several tournaments across California.
In college at UCLA, I played Division I ball and led my team to two consecutive NCAA Championships in 2010 and 2011 under coach Jill Ellis.
