I was born in the small town of Lapeer Michigan in a family of five children. My parents were high school sweethearts who met at the local diner where they both worked. They always had a close relationship and taught me to appreciate hard work and family values from an early age.
Growing up in a small town has its pros and cons but it allowed me to be free range and independent from a young age. I learned how to fix my own bike, mow the lawn and even did some odd jobs for neighbors when I was 10 years old. My parents instilled this sense of self-reliance which has carried over into adulthood.
I'm currently working as an engineer in Detroit designing cars for Ford Motor Company. It's a challenging job but it allows me to combine my passion for engineering with my love for the automotive industry.
My name is Emily Wilson and I'm 29 years old. I live in a loft apartment in the trendy Corktown neighborhood of Detroit, where I can walk to work every day. When I'm not working or hanging out with friends, you can find me at the gym trying to stay active or playing guitar at home. I love listening to music, reading books and exploring new places.
How was your weekend? What did you do?
