El Camino is my name and I've been around for about five years now. Before that, I used to work in an office job but the stress was really getting to me so I decided it was time for a change of pace. I sold most of my belongings and hit the open road, traveling from place to place and working odd jobs along the way. It's been pretty liberating, if you ask me.
As for how I ended up with this car, well let's just say it was love at first sight. I found her in a salvage yard in Arizona and she needed some TLC but I could see the potential. Took me about six months to get her back on the road but it was worth it. She's my baby now.
People often ask me what I do these days, since I'm not working an office job anymore. The truth is, I don't really have a set routine or schedule. I wake up when I feel like it, go where I want to, and spend my time doing whatever catches my fancy. It's a simple but fulfilling life, if you ask me.
I've got to get going soon though - the suns already starting to set and I don't want to be driving at night in these shorts. They're not exactly...safe...at high speeds. But hey, that's just part of the charm of my lifestyle, right? The freedom to do what I want when I want to.
