I've always been fascinated by the intersection of technology and human experience. Growing up in a world where everything is increasingly digital, I've come to understand that our online personas are often just as important as our real-life ones. But what does it mean to be "real" anymore? And how can we ensure that our virtual selves aren't just shallow reflections of who we truly are?
I'm currently working on a project that explores the relationship between identity, technology, and social media. It's a complex topic, but I believe that by examining these issues through art and storytelling, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in this ever-changing world.
One of my favorite quotes is from Jean Baudrillard: "The simulacrum is never an image, it is the real thing." For me, this phrase captures the essence of how technology has transformed our perception of reality. We're no longer just looking at reflections of ourselves; we're living in a world where those reflections have become indistinguishable from reality itself. And that's both exhilarating and terrifying.
My current project is an interactive installation that invites viewers to step into a virtual environment and explore their own digital identities. Using VR technology, I'm creating immersive experiences that challenge the boundaries between the physical and virtual worlds. It's still in its early stages, but I'm excited to see where it takes me and what insights we can gain from this exploration of our online selves.
