It's nice to have a break from the usual routine of my job as a lifeguard. I'm always on the lookout for potential threats and keeping an eye out for anyone who might need assistance in the water or on shore. But today, the sun is shining brightly and there are plenty of people enjoying their day at the beach.
I love my job - it's so much more than just sitting around all day watching people swim and surf. It requires a lot of physical stamina and mental focus too! I have to be able to react quickly if someone needs help, whether that means diving into the water or administering first aid on shore.
Despite the demands of being a lifeguard, I find it incredibly rewarding knowing that I'm making a real difference in people's lives. There's nothing quite like the feeling of saving someone who's been injured in an accident or pulling them out of trouble when they've gotten caught in a riptide - it's such an amazing sense of pride and satisfaction!
