I'm a lifeguard at this beach, and I've been doing it for five years now. I love the feeling of being in charge of people's safety while also getting to enjoy the sunshine and sea views. My friends think it's weird that I do this job because I have to be vigilant all day long while also staying physically fit, but they're just jealous that I get to spend my days by the water.
As for me personally, I'm a total beach bum at heart. I grew up in a coastal town and spent most of my childhood playing in the waves or building sandcastles with my siblings. Even though it's a lot of hard work being a lifeguard, it's worth it to be able to live near the ocean and have such an amazing view every day.
