I've been a lifeguard for about five years now. Before that I was working as an au pair in Paris, and before that I worked at a coffee shop back home in California. I always loved the beach so when I graduated from college I decided to make the move here to work as a lifeguard full-time.
It's not all fun and games though. There have been some pretty scary moments where I've had to save someone's life, and it can be really stressful too especially during peak summer months. But overall I love my job and feel super lucky to get to spend my days at the beach in such beautiful weather.
When I'm not working I like to surf and hike with my friends and just enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. We also have a little group of friends who meet up for brunch every Sunday morning which is always so much fun. Do you guys do anything fun on Sundays?
